The primary responsibility of the University of Reston Campus Safety and Security Office is to comprehensively protect the school’s students, faculty, staff and visitors – ensuring a safe and secure educational environment for all.

The Campus Safety and Security Office prepares and implements contingency plans to reduce risk and mitigate major man-made or natural disasters and provides appropriate safety and security training to faculty and staff on a yearly basis. This office also works closely with the Student Affairs Office to educate students on the school’s student conduct policies and the need for all to take personal responsibility for their actions.
