The objective of this course is to provide a detail overview to the science and art of intrusion detection. The course covers methodologies, techniques, and tools for monitoring and detecting events in computer system or network, with the objective of preventing and unwanted process activity and recovering from malicious behavior.

Objectives:

  • A comprehensive learning on the subject of intrusion detection
  • A hands-on exposure to the principles and techniques used in intrusion detection, as well as the technical challenges and fundamental limits of intrusion detection
  • Preparation to become either a capable practitioner or independent researcher in intrusion detection
